SURE Intern Program
Juniors & Seniors ~ Majoring in the Sciences
Each year selected undergraduate Junior and Senior students work in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program with The Hormel Institute’s scientists. Interns work on research projects to expand their knowledge of basic research and to learn about equipment and techniques that are not generally available in undergraduate academic programs. Students are selected based on academic achievement, recommendations, their area of study as well as their plans to pursue careers in biology and medically-related fields. Freshmen and sophomores are also welcome to apply, but consideration will be given to more advanced students first.
Do you believe science education and medical careers are important? You may be interested in lending financial support to our science education, preparing a workforce for the future. Support for this paid 10-week internship is vitally important and always greatly appreciated. Please note on your contribution ” SURE Internship Endowment Fund” and thank you.
The Orville S. Privett Scholarship fund provides full support for the students.
