Minnesota Public Radio’s “Minnesota Sounds” series recently featured the world-renowned cancer research of The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota-Mayo, in a segment titled, “Austin: Sounds of Science.”
It focuses on Dr. Rebecca Morris, a professor who leads the Stem Cells and Cancer research section at The Hormel Institute, and the numerous scientific sounds that can be heard in her lab, such as the feeding of cells. Dr. Morris specializes in skin cancer research and is in her third year as a section leader at The Hormel Institute after moving to Austin from New York City.
