WALK FOR A CANCER FREE WORLD” is a “for everyone” event and Uncle Sam wants YOU to show your support of research leading to a world free of cancer. Last year, the first “Walk for a Cancer Free World” drew over 250 participants. All registration money goes 100 % to The Hormel Institute’s world-renowned cancer research. Bring your friends and family this year to enjoy the walk’s easy and fun 4-mile route from The Hormel Institute to Bandshell Park, showing your support for a cancer-free world. Along the way, learn about The Hormel Institute’s cutting-edge cancer research, plans for a major expansion and how community partners help support the Institute’s work against this devastating disease.

REGISTRATION SITE: In advance – Austin Area Chamber of Commerce; Same day – The Hormel Institute

WALK ROUTE: Start at The Hormel Institute – 801 16th Ave. N.E. – and walk to Bandshell Park.

REGISTRATION: 5:00 – 5:30 PM

WALK: 5:30 – 6:30 PM (approx.); Note: participants are responsible for their transportation to and from the walk.

ENTRY FEE: $8 per person by June 22 (includes T-shirt); $10 per person after. (Cannot guarantee T-shirt to walk day registration participants.) BANDSHELL ENTERTAINMENT: 2:00 – 10:00 PM food, music, games and fireworks at dusk. Six Mile Grove concert from 8:30 – 10:00 PM.
