PTTP - the Hormel Institute

Fans can act now to see their loved ones’ names on special edition jersey to benefit The Hormel Institute

Everyone has an opportunity to see a loved one’s name out on the ice with the Austin Bruins during the 2019 Paint the Rink Pink game. The special jersey worn by each player during the annual pink game will display one hundred names of cancer survivors, current fighters and loved ones who have lost the battle. All proceeds will accelerate answers to cancer by providing funds to support innovative cancer research at The Hormel Institute.

The Austin Bruins are selling each name for $50 and all proceeds will benefit The Hormel Institute’s cutting-edge cancer research. Names have already begun to sell and will go quickly.

To submit your information and get your loved one’s name on these jerseys, visit the Austin Bruins website and click on the 2019 Paint the Rink Pink jersey or email Brian Schulz at brian@austinbruins.com.

Paint the Town Pink has raised nearly $1.5 million since it began in 2011 with the Austin Bruins’ inaugural Paint the Rink Pink hockey game. Owners Craig Patrick and Mike Cooper lead the fundraising event that features pink ice and pink Bruins jerseys auctioned off after the game. Paint the Rink Pink has been an annual sellout of about 2,000 people at Riverside Arena and raised more than $245,000.

The Austin Bruins’ 9th annual Paint the Rink Pink game will be on Feb. 2, 2019 against the Minnesota Magicians.
