• Three times a year on the first Saturday of the month September, January, and May we encourage families to participate in a hands-on science kit.
  • In these kits participants find instructions for this science experiment as well as the supplies you will need to complete the experiment.  As well as written instructions and a link to watch our senior scientist walk through the experiment step by step.
  • These kits are free of charge to the community and are on a limited basis. Kits can be picked up at The Hormel Institute.  We encourage to document your child(ren) completing their experiment and share it with us on Facebook by using the hashtag #HIScienceSaturday.
  • We will be watching your posts and feature some of our new scientists and their experiments.
