2023 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Internship Program Begins
The Hormel Institute's 2023 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) interns started their internships on May 30. This year, there are 16 interns from all over the United States.
The SURE interns will spend 10 weeks working alongside scientists in the labs and getting hands-on biomedical research experience.This helps students expand their knowledge of basic research and gain firsthand experience learning about equipment and techniques that are generally not available in undergraduate academic programs. The interns will also have professional development opportunities outside of the lab. At the end of their internship, they will get to present their research findings and what they have learned over the summer.
