AUSTIN, Minn. - The 2023 Karl Potach Memorial Golf Tournament raised $84,000 that will help The Hormel Institute work toward a cure for pediatric cancer.

The tournament, held at the Austin Country Club, is held yearly to remember Karl Potach, who died in 1997 after a battle with a rare cancer called Wilms Tumor. He was diagnosed with cancer around his second birthday in 1994.

The tournament began in 1998 and the money raised is used to improve the quality of life for current and future pediatric cancer patients.

The $84,000 raised was donated to The Hormel Institute.
