step

The Student Training Experience Program (STEP) partners with the University of Minnesota Rochester students, who will intern for up to three consecutive semesters at The Hormel Institute.

STEP internships will allow students an opportunity to apply knowledge learned through coursework and gain practical experience within their research field. Interns will be provided with opportunities to gain biomedical research experience, enhance professional development, and increase their understanding of and appreciation for research and science professions.

It is strongly encouraged interns participate in the program for two consecutive semesters (fall and spring), with the third summer semester being optional.
